POSITION: CHIP CREW LEAD — UTILITY LINE CLEARANCE STARTING DATE: Applications accepted until suitable candidate is selected.
Utility Line Clearance, a division of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as a CHIPCREW LEAD MEMBER.
DUTIES
1) Tends machine that reduces log slabs, stump wood, trimmings, and other scrap wood to chips of uniform size for making paper pulp charcoal, and for use in wood distilling.
2) Starts conveyor system that feeds wood into hopper of chipping machine.
3) Positions pieces of wood on conveyor, using picaroon to prevent congestion to regulate flow.
4) May replace worn bent knives, and adjust knives to vary size of chips, using handtools.
5) May examine wood on feed conveyor for conformity to specified standards remove nonconforming wood.
6) May stop machine when jams or malfunctions occur, and clears machine or conveyor of wood pieces..
QUALIFICATIONS
*Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. *Manage own time and the time of others. *Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, organization rules, and the democratic political process. *Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
